Lots of work for Team Udta Punjab ahead of its release on 17th June

Udta Punjab Makers are overjoyed by the decision of the Bombay High Court. The verdict has come in their favor after a single cut , a revised disclaimer which will be carried across dtug abuse scenes in the film.

Anurag Kashyap says he will be ready to fight for every film of his, until the attitude of the CBFC system changes. Extremely happy about the clearance, he mentions a lot of pending work is to be done, in order to give it a proper 17th June release.

Director Abhishek Chaubey was initially giving into the demands of the CBFC board, to not allow any more controverst hamper his film's release. But the courage of his producer, made him have a change of heart and he is delighted over the just verdict passed.

Bombay High Court reviewed the film and questioned the CBFC board over its illogical demanded cuts, saying the film does not threat the integrity or sovereignty of the state. Reprimanding them to stick to certification and not censorship of the films.

The issue could have been passed on to the Supreme Court but has been sorted out at the High Court level.

The film would have had to bear additional expenses, had the release been stalled / postponed.

Enjoy it at a theater on 17th June.
