Bombay High Court upset with the Certification Board for considering ban on Udta Punjab

The Bombay High Court questioned the logic of the Censor Board over its demand to remove the Punjab signage from the film. HC feels there is no apparent justified reasoning behind the demanded cut.

The judges also disapproved of the edit of MP, MLA as suggested by the censor board.

Among growing controversy surrounding the film Udta Punjab this may have come as a relief to the filmmakers.

The HC board also showed great displeasure on the board's suggestion of cutting out city names, mentioned in the film.  The justice feels reference to any city name is obvious, how does it hurt the sentiments of the residential citizens.

The producers moved High Court owing to the lack of communication by the Board and delay in providing justified edits and certification.

Another hearing will be heard today in regards to the clearance of the release of the film.
