Nawazuddin Siddiqui pulled out of Ramleela Event in Muzzafarnagar with objection by members of Shiv Sena. 

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was in village Budhana, Muzzafarnagar to perform at the annual event of Ramleela, in character of Marich, but unfortunately due to the opposition by political party Shiv Sena, hgad to back out from the event. 

The Shiv Sena claims that Nawaz has been charged with sexual assault by his sister in law, and is doing the play to redeem his prestige. They also feel a Muslim should not be a part of a Hindu Mythological play. 

Hence, Nawazuddin has quit the show in order to maintain peace in the village of Budhana. He promises to be back next year with the show.
