Vijay Mallya's Bollywood Connection

The international tycoon has been in the news for the wrong reasons for quite some time now.  He allegedly owes the banks a whopping amount of Rs. 9,000 crore including interest, his group companies have taken as a loan. The banks  involved had approached the courts from restraining Mallya to leave the country, but he seems to have fled on March 2 to avoid the legal proceedings.

Here’s taking a look at his Bollywood connections : 

For an average new model in the industry to feature on a Kingfisher Calendar is huge! Katrina Kaif was one such model who adorned the rocking Kingfisher Calendar and the same year 

( 2003) was seen in a bold Bollywood film ‘Boom’ opposite Gulshan Grover and Amitabh Bachchan.

     

      Nargis Fakhri was Vijay Mallya’s find. 
      He even converted the selection of the models into a TV reality show with a renowned TV channel.  Nargis happens to be among the select few who has worked in Hollywood as well. She debuted in the film, Spy. 

              

      

      This beauty Esha Gupta has contributed to the special calendar with her sensual elegance.  Another great find by the man.

      

       After winning Miss Great Britain in 2007, she featured on the Kingfisher calendar in 2008. Preeti Desai burns it up with her beauty!

      Deepika Padukone was the cover girl for the calendar in 2006.  The year, 2007 saw her Bollywood debut. Notably, she dated Vijay Mallya’s son Siddharth after her break up with Ranbir Kapoor.  

      Lisa Haydon ranks to be the most sexy model turned actor of today! Her discovery was made by none other than Vijay Mallya. 

      

          This lovely lass, Tena Deasae,  graced the Kingfisher calendar in 2012. Her most notable Bollywood film has been Table No. 21. She also worked abroad in films like ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ and its sequel.

      Yana Gupta is Vijay Mallya’s favorite model. She even did a special ‘Flight Safety Video’ for his Kingfisher airlines.

      Katrina graciously agreed to be the face of Mallya’s IPL Team Royal Challengers Bangalore. She used to be present at every match to cheer her team. 

      Vijay Mallya supposedly has a life size statue of his favorite starlet, Shilpa Shetty in one of his luxury homes.
