There is an occult study about numbers affecting your life paths, influencing your future and important life events. Termed ‘ Numerology’ this study has attracted faith as it contributes positively to a person / his creative vision, thus benefiting him to succeed.  Followed by big names in the industry, it is basically derived from the DOB ( Date of Birth),  collective numeric power of spellings of the name used by artists or the title given to their work, e.g. film titles / serials. Taking a cue from astrology, numerologists believe in balancing vibrations which your name gives out, thus intending to attract fame and fortune.

       1.      Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor 

       Ekta Kapoor loves to use the letter ‘K’ to lend an identity to her shows with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasamh Se, Kaahin Kissi Roz. As you noticed, there are unnecessary letters added to the words, which in actuality are the results of numeric vibrations suggested to her by numerologists.  Of course, some of her shows are exceptions to her ‘K’ fixation , like Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Jodhaa Akbar that have done well.  They seem to have been balanced out with a spell change.

Her brother, Tushar Kapoor, is now named Tusshar Kapoor, as suggested by his mom, who is a keen follower of this science.  Tusshar has tasted success with some of his films, but unfortunately struggles to differentiate among his chosen acts. 

       2.   Ajay Devgan 

       The superstar has always enjoyed a good run in his career. Yet, his mother asked him to drop the ‘A’ from his surname and he continues to do well due to it. The actor is improved his skill through the years, combining it with ace directorial vision.  Reports suggest, the spell change was due to his ill health during the time of ‘U Me Aur Hum’ , for which his name’s numeric power was modified.

      3.   Jimmy Shergill 

      This effortless actor has altered the spelling of his surname to balance the number it leads to, in a bid to garner him success.  He is now spelt as Jimmy Sheirgill , not many know this fact but he is considered to be a Superstar in Punjabi films and has done significant character roles in Bollywood.

4.  Vivek Oberoi 

      This charming man who won hearts with his performances in Company and Saathiya, has had a career low mid-way. Although he did find success with his Masti Franchise, he needs credibility to sustain in this ever changing filmy world. For the same, he has numerically corrected his name from Vivek Oberoi to Viveik Oberoi.  We’d like to wish him the best.

      5.   Karishma Kapoor

      This diva was one of the early few to have been a believer of Numerology. She dropped the S from her first name and spelled it as Karisma.  She even used her new surname Kapur post marriage. She was last seen with Rajneesh Duggal in a film called ‘Dangerous Ishhq’ which failed to make a mark. Her personal life has been rocky due to her separation from husband Sanjay Kapur.
