1. The First Meet

Shahrukh Khan noticed this young beautiful girl on a dance floor in Delhi, and immediately approached her for a dance, she obliged to his request. Post which, he asked for her number and they stayed in touch. SRK mustered the guts to make the first move and instantly felt she was the 'one' for him.







2. Shahrukh Khan's Possessive Nature 

The most charming persona on screen, would show possessiveness to his real life partner. He would not like Gauri to keep her hair open or strike friendships with other boys.  He felt Gauri was a part of him and kept her close. However, this would often lead to fights.



3. The Proposal 

Shahrukh Khan left for Mumbai with a 10,000/- budget to search for his love Gauri, as she left for the city to take a momentary break from the actor's possessiveness.  Interestingly, SRK has the same situation in his film Chalte Chalte. They reunited with hugs and realized their true feelings. Shahrukh Khan dropped her home in his Fiat Car and popped the question, 'Will You Marry Me! 4.Marriage & Films 
Gauri's parents opposed their alliance initially, as it would be an inter-caste marriage and the potential groom had plans of joining films. They however agreed after much persuasion and blessed the couple.














6. Honeymoon 

Their Honeymoon was unusual as it was celebrated on the sets of 'Dil Aashna Hai'. Gauri would hope his films flopped so they could get back to a normal life in Delhi.

7. Children and Romance 

SRK was once heard saying, his children are living proof of his wild and screamingly loud romance with Gauri. They sustain their relationship with their involvement towards raising their kids.
