Celebrities who have temples in their name 

Bollywood is a religion in our country.  Fans becomes devotees of their favorite artists and literally worship their presence, their films and their sightings. Going by this fanatic craze, some states even host temples of their most loved celebrity, here are a few: 

1. Rajnikanth 

The biggest superstar of India finds his temple in Kolar, Karnataka.  A 100 Crore Shiva Lingas adorn the pious place named after the superstar. In fact, families can install a new Shiva Linga for a price, to attain peace and prosperity. The temple was inaugurated by Rajnikanth's brother Satyanarayan Rao and good friend Raj Bahadur. Many Vedic chants are offered durning installation. 

2. Amitabh Bachchan 

Jai Shree Amitabh has been pasted across the walls of Amitabh Bachchan's Temple in South Kolkata. An 'Amitabh Chalisa' has been specially coined to offer prayers to him, additionally the head priest has a morning ritual for the megastar. Fans come in large numbers to show their devotion. 

The temple contains the huge green chair Amitabh Bachchan graced in his film AKS, and a pair of shoes we wore in Agneepath. Sanjay Patodia founded this temple in 2003, and worships him more than a fan. 

3. Sachin Tendulkar 

God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar's life size statue to be installed in Bihar's Kaimur district by actor-singer Manoj Tiwari. 

We do consider them as immensely successful and respected individuals. And this goes to show our country's craze for the above mentioned celebrities.
