If actors featured in our favorite childhood video games.

Didn’t we just absolutely love spending our time in front of huge TV sets and taking part in our favorite video games. They came with complex connections, cartridges but all worthy of the happiness which followed once the set up was sorted.

Imagine if these same games featured Bollywood Actors in them, would have been a different experience altogether. Here’s our attempt to cast for some of the most memorable video games.

 1.       NFS – Need for Speed

One of the most successful series by Electronic Arts. The game has been a Best Seller with 150 million copies purchased worldwide. NFS as its lovingly called is based in beautiful locations, with lovelier luxury cars one can drive at different times of the day. Had this been a Bollywood Edition, we’d like to see Amitabh Bachchan as its ambassador, as his personality resonates with class and elegance. Just like the game, AB sir has 25 top luxury cars to his name.

 2.       Road Rash

This amazing race to the finish bike game is set amid beautiful city and country side locations. It is a single player game but accompanied by Computer driven multi-players. It has super features of upgrading your bike and costumes with a lot of gossip infused in by other racers.  We think our Dhoom star John Abraham would be the perfect match for its  Bollywood series. A passionate biker himself, John fits the bill.

 3.       Super Mario

This super adventurous little Mario who faced weird animal creatures as a threat to his life, collected several gold coins and entered various pipelines to successfully cross levels, remains to be our favorite. Not forgetting Little Louis who came as the Second player. We think Shahrukh and Kajol would make for a great Mario-Louis pair. The best is always reserved for the King.

 4.       CONTRA

The superhit action and run game, based on Bill and Lance who shoot their enemies in 8 different directions to pass levels,  must feature our amazing Desi Boyz Jodi, Akshay Kumar and  John Abraham in it.  Both are known for their extra-ordinary skill in action and will do more than justice.

 5.       Popeye

Our lover boy Popeye who ate spinach and kissed Olive, bringing her back from the clutches of Bluto, should undoubtedly be Varun Dhawan. He would make for the cutest Popeye Game Version, and his Olive could be Shraddha Kapoor.

We hope you’ve relived your childhood memories with these.  Here’s to many more such epic games and Bollywood!
