Here's all about the versatile Akshay Kumar

    An impressive career spanning over 2.5 decades, Akshay Kumar has sustained and improved his talent with time and even given stiff competition to the equally deserving Khan trio. 

   At a time, when the nation was obsessed over the romantic image of Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar was happily attaching himself to his Khiladi Action image. Directors mainly approached him to feature in heavy duty action films, which required him to perform deadly stunts. Akshay always obliged them and made his own space in the industry. Having a professional exposure in Martial Arts helped him become the mighty fighter on screen. 

   After many versions of his Khiladi avatar, Akshay began to stagnate in the genre. But he was quick to come out of it and try something totally refreshing, which he did with his impeccable comedy. He stood out in Hera Pheri and his career took a turn for the good. Then followed some of the most successful comedies Bhagam Bhaag , Welcome, Hey Babyy and Housefull. 

  Today, Akshay is the only actor whose had three huge successes in 2016 with Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. He is the only 'A' lister star who is churning out maximum number of films in a given year. Akshay's family army background explains his affinity to patriotic films.  He has consciously chosen Republic Day and Independence Day holidays to release his films and even plays a 'Nation-loving' good Samaritan in most. 

  Akshay excels in comedy, action, legal courtroom dramas and will soon be seen in a negative role opposite Rajnikanth in Robot 2. His discipline, punctuality and versatility have taken him places and made him one of the most profitable stars.
