Why Akira reminds us of Urmila Matondkar's Ek Haseena Thi 

   Sonakshi Sinha's solo lead Akira, backed by Fox Star Studios is due for a 2nd Sept release. It has her cast in a never seen before and barely done before role and we must say, it is absolutely stunning. With an uncanny thrill of Ghajini, owing to the common maker A.R Murugadoss being on its helm, Sonakshi is foreseen to receive critical as well as commercial success 

   But as a comparative context, all we can think of is Urmila Matondkar's innocent and bold portrayal in Ek Haseena Thi, Sonakshi does a similar grey shade character and reminds us of Urmila's brilliance. Their plots put them in a sitaution from being an innocent person to a complete badass.

   Akira we hear also raises an important issue on acid attacks apart from the corrupt police officers, Sonakshi will be seen fighting with. We can't wait for this one!
